St. John’s Episcopal Church operates primarily on the faithful giving of our members and visitors. This can be in the form of cash offerings, fulfillment of a pledge and/or a planned gift. Any contribution is most welcomed, and all gifts are important to the work of the church.
We encourage you to prayerfully consider your contributions and give to God’s work in the world out of gratitude for the many blessings He has bestowed upon us.
Each fall, members of the congregation are asked to make a financial commitment to the ongoing ministries of St. John’s Episcopal Church. Your pledge to St. John’s is an affirmation of faith and commitment to ensure the vitality of our parish and it helps us make informed budget decisions on our operating expenses and our commitments to ministries, fellowships, classes, community programs and other activities… Collectively, our parishioners provide more than 80 percent of our annual budget. Without your pledges and gifts, St. John’s would simply not exist.

Looking to make a one-time gift for a special offertory, seasonal music or flower dedications, etc.? Those who appreciate the ministries of St. John’s but are not pledging members may want to make a gift to support this community. Often, pledging members will also want to make a special one-time gift over and above their pledge.

Flower dedications are a wonderful way to show gratitude for or honor loved ones. Each week, altar flowers can be dedicated and names are listed in our weekly order of service. Planned Giving ensures that our mission continues. Planned gifts are separate from the Annual Stewardship Season and traditionally are endowed in perpetuity, with investment proceeds used for various church ministries and numerous outreach partners.
A capital campaign is a generosity initiative that requires fundraising beyond regular giving and periodic offerings. St. John’s recent For All the Saints capital campaign was able to fund our church’s mission of restoring and preserving our historic buildings and grounds, while creating new, welcoming spaces for St. John’s can grow in service to our church family and the Tallahassee community. The My St. John’s online portal allows parishioners to access current registrations and update their own contact information as well as view directory information for fellow members. Additionally, parishioners can manage online pledging and giving, using a debit or credit card, through the member portal’s secure online system.
