Confirmation

(Photo above: April 14, 2013 Confirmands with The Right Reverend Samuel Johnson Howard, Bishop of Florida.)

St. John's provides a path for each person who seeks preparation for Baptism, Confirmation, Reception, or Reaffirmation of Baptismal Vows in the Episcopal Church.  Each year, the Bishop of the Diocese of Florida visits St. John's to confirm, receive and reaffirm communicants.

  • Youth Communicants - Teenagers participate in a confirmation class that meets for 10 sessions in the months prior to confirmation.  The class is held on Sunday mornings in the Youth Room. Contact Randy Winton, Director of Youth Ministries, (850) 222-2636, x15.

  • Adult Communicants - Adults who wish to be Baptized, Confirmed, Received into the Episcopal Church or Reaffirm their faith can join a group that meets weekly on Sunday evenings.  They participate in the Growing in Grace lecutre/discussion seminar taught by St. John's clergy.   Download the 2013 flyer to see the range of topics covered.  For information on the next Growing in Grace class, contact the St. John's office.
