In the wider church and Anglican Communion, he serves on the Board of Episcopal Relief and Development as chair of the Advancement Committee. He is a Trustee of the American Friends of the Anglican Centre in Rome and a past member of the Planning Committee of the Consortium of Endowed Episcopal Parishes. Prior to St. John’s, Killeen served for three years as associate rector of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church in Jacksonville, Florida, where his primary focus was family, youth and children’s ministries. Before St. Mark’s, Killeen was Curate and Interim Pastor at St. Mary’s, Tuxedo Park, New York. Before seminary, Killeen worked at the International Radio and Television Society, the Academy of American Poets, and St. Bartholomew’s Church, Manhattan, the parish in which he discerned his call to ordained ministry. He has published articles in the Tallahassee Democrat, The Living Church, the Episcopal New Yorker, New Jersey Monthly and other publications.
