Bach Parley Concert

June 5, 2022 @ 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm

The Tallahassee Bach Parley will partner with the Festina Ensemble to present their final concert of the 2021-2022 season…

The Sincerest Form of Flattery: Imitation, Parody, and Inspiration Through the Ages

Join the Bach Parley for the concert at 3 PM on Sunday at St. John’s. They will be joined by Festina, a chamber choral ensemble from Boston, guest violinist Martie Perry, a long-time friend of music director Valerie Arsenault, and several other regular Bach Parley players.

The repertoire will be by Parley favorites such as Bach, Buxtehude, Pergolesi, and Vivaldi, along with a Twenty-first century piece written by Caroline Shaw in 2016 called To the Hands.

The Parley brings the music of Baroque-era composers like J. S. Bach to life. Performing on period-style instruments, they offer unique, exceptional concert experiences that educate our community and encourage the talents of our region’s professional and student musicians.
