The Prayer Book: Praying Shapes Believing

October 16, 2022 @ 11:15 am - 12:15 pm

Episcopalians believe “how you pray shapes who you are,” which is why the Book of Common Prayer holds such an important place in our life together. Join Fr. Lonnie after the 10 AM service for an adult forum series in which we’ll rediscover the prayer book and its many riches.

Sep. 11: Why We Even Have a Prayer Book
Why we’re drawn to the Book of Common Prayer, how it came to be, and what it’s really trying to do for you.

Sep. 18: The Eucharist
What’s really happening when we gather for Eucharist, and what it tell us about God, ourselves, and our place in the world.

Oct. 9: The Holy Week Liturgies
How worship transcends time and space and why everything hangs on Easter.

October 16: Hidden Gems
Parts of the prayer book you never knew existed but are worth taping to your fridge, dashboard, mirror, and heart.
