Tour St. John’s Historic Cemetery

Join St. John’s Historical Society to learn more about the historic St. John’s Cemetery. Located just off of Call Street and Martin Luther King Blvd., our cemetery was established in 1840 and is one of the earliest Christian burial sites in Florida. During your visit, we’ll have docents on hand to answer questions and reveal some vibrant stories of religious commitment, trailblazing souls, wars, a yellow fever epidemic, and shipwrecks. Our docents will also be able to share how our team of volunteers has maintained the gravestones and grounds so this history can remain for generations to come.

TIME: Visit at your leisure from 3 to 4:30 PM. Afterward, we invite you to return to St. John’s for some lemonade before our 5 PM Service of Choral Evensong.

PARKING: Limited street parking is available. Our friends at Bethel Baptist Church have also invited us to park in their unpaved lot on MLK Blvd or the church’s paved lot on Call Street.
