Epiphany, celebrated 12 days after Christmas, is when Christians remember the Wise Men who visited Jesus and broke the news to the world that the King of Kings had come for everyone!
At 4 PM on Sunday, January 5, come celebrate the Feast of the Epiphany with a special Service of Holy Eucharist. Fr. Lonnie will give a short homily and “bless the chalk,” a new Epiphany tradition at St. John’s. Worshippers will also get to hear the Christmas story once more during our Epiphany Pageant, told by the children of St. John’s. After the service, all are invited to Alfriend Hall for a spaghetti dinner.
Rehearsals for the children’s pageant begin Dec. 15 at 11:30 AM for all Pre-K through 8th grade. These rehearsals will take the place of Sunday School. There will be a role for everybody to enjoy (with some more involved roles for those who like the spotlight).
