Sunday Forum: James Kassaga Arinaitwe visits St. John’s

November 20, 2022 @ 11:15 am - 12:15 pm

James Kassaga Arinaitwe

How many ten-year-olds have walked, run and hitched rides for 300 miles to meet the “First Lady” of Uganda in search of an education? James Kassaga Arinaitwe did just that!

Join us this Sunday after the 10 AM service, as we welcome James Kassaga Arinaitwe back to St. John’s and hear all about his journey over the past two decades. In 2000, our parish supported James’ venture with Solar Light for Africa. He will share all about that experience and his current work with Teach for Uganda, a program that recruits university graduates to teach disadvantaged students in rural Ugandan schools. This week, James is serving as FSU’s 2022 Broad Lecturer on International Relations. We’re so glad this opportunity has brought him full circle back to St. John’s!

You can join us in person in Killeen Hall, or via Zoom:
