Liturgy for Maundy Thursday

Maundy Thursday is part of the Triduum, or three holy days before Easter (Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Vigil), and links Jesus’ institution of the Eucharist during the Last Supper and his sacrifice for us on the cross on Good Friday.

Our guest preacher for the Triduum will be the Rev. John Coleman.

The optional foot washing in this service emulates Jesus’s actions at the Last Supper when he washed the feet of his disciples. This service will conclude in darkness, with all ornaments removed from the altar in preparation for Good Friday. Childcare will be offered for this special evening service.
