May SALT Gathering

May 27, 2022 @ 10:30 am - 1:00 pm

The International Rescue Committee (IRC) provides opportunities for refugees, asylees, victims of human trafficking, survivors of torture, and other immigrants to thrive in America.

Join us for our May SALT luncheon with Karen Duncan, Community Engagement & Outreach Coordinator for the International Rescue Committee in Tallahassee. Her presentation will include information about the IRC and the populations served in Tallahassee, the path refugees follow to be eligible for resettlement, and the services they receive when they arrive to their new home.

We’ll gather for coffee in Alfriend Hall at 10:30 AM, then move to Killeen Hall for the program. Following the lecture, stay for lunch in Alfriend Hall. To RSVP, call (850) 222-2636 ext. 10, or email Deborah Dugger, by Wednesday, May 25, or CLICK HERE to register online. To cover luncheon costs, a $7/person donation is appreciated.

SALT stands for “Senior Adults Living Triumphantly,” but parishioners and community members of all ages are welcome to join in this morning of education and fellowship.
