SoulCollage® Workshop

Through a simple process of selecting, cutting, and pasting images from magazines, participants will create cards that help them access their inner wisdom, quiet their thinking minds, and allowing intuition and the work of the Spirit to have a voice. Our SoulCollage® workshop at St. John’s will feature poetry, prayer, card creation (collaging), and journaling … and lots of fun and fellowship along the way!

ABOUT THE PROCESS: SoulCollage® is a creative collage process – it’s both an intuitive personal art form and a contemplative spiritual process. It requires no artistic ability – it’s a gentle, playful way to explore one’s life while recognizing and honoring different aspects of the authentic self and giving voice to the soul through collage images. Taking time to deeply connect with our own selves allows us to grow in relationship with God and our neighbors. All facets of our personalities, gifts, challenges, and dreams – have wisdom and healing to impart. This process is one way to tap our inner knowings.

LEADERS: Kathy Sturgis, Ph.D., a trained SoulCollage® facilitator, will lead our afternoon workshop (read bio), and St. John’s parishioners Anne Davis and Kate Kile will assist.

EVENT DETAILS: This three-hour workshop will be held in person in St. John’s Alfriend Hall. All materials will be provided, and light refreshments will be served. To cover the cost of supplies and other materials, there will be a $15 class fee (scholarships available).
