The St. John’s Choir is made up of adults, children, and youth, all of whom sing together at the 9:00 a.m. Sunday Eucharist, three Choral Evensongs, Advent Lessons and Carols, Christmas Eve, and Holy Week services.  The adults sing at the 11:15 a.m. Sunday Eucharist.  Using the RSCM (Royal School of Church Music) system of choir training, children and youth sing treble (soprano) parts along with the adult sopranos.  When boys’ voices change, they sing alto, tenor and bass, according to their developing vocal ranges.

New This Year - The Joyful Noise Makers (for children ages 5-7)
This year, St. John's is thrilled to offer a new program for 5-7 year olds who love to have fun with music: the Joyful Noisemakers! Meeting for 45 minutes weekly, this program seeks to inspire and encourage young children to explore, play, sing, and learn about music in a fun and informal setting. A great way to get kids involved in music at an early age, the Joyful Noisemakers program welcomes all children and begins Tuesday, September 11. Bless, O Lord, us thy servants, who minister in thy temple.  Grant that what we sing with our lips we may believe in our hearts, and what we believe in our hearts we may show forth in our lives; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
