Ashes-to-Go (Florida Capitol)

Along with other area clergy, St. John’s invites the Tallahassee community to the Capitol Rotunda. If you are in the area for legislative session, stop by the “Ashes-to-Go” station in the Capitol rotunda for the imposition of ashes and a one-on-one blessing between 9 AM and 4:30 PM.

Join us to mark the beginning of Lent at one of our three in-person services on Ash Wednesday. Ash Wednesday is the official start to the holy season of Lent and is one of the two major fast days of the Church year. The Church rightly expects all practicing and able-bodied Christians to participate in the solemn Mass and Imposition of Ashes on this sacred day. We hope all who are far from home know they are welcome at our tables!
