Fr. Lonnie serves as the twenty-eighth rector of St. John’s Episcopal Church. Since arriving in 2022, he has worked alongside parishioners, staff, and lay leaders to help St. John’s live more fully into its vision of Deep Roots. True Belonging. Abundant Grace.
Ordained in 2006, Fr. Lonnie is passionate about preaching, teaching, spiritual formation, and helping people discover a faith grounded in the Christian tradition and connected to everyday life. Before coming to St. John’s, he served churches and campus ministries in Georgia, including St. Anne’s Episcopal Church in Tifton and Trinity Episcopal Church in Statesboro.
Fr. Lonnie and his wife, Jay, have two children. Outside of church, he enjoys FSU athletics, college baseball, reading, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
