Our Visioning Journey
At St. John’s, we spent the past year listening deeply—to God, to one another, and to the needs of the world around us. Through sermons, parish-wide conversations, and a dedicated Visioning Day, we asked big questions:
- Who are we?
- Who is God calling us to become?
- And how can we make a faithful difference in today’s world?
From hundreds of voices came shared hopes: radical love, fearless inclusion, faith in action. We reflected on the sacred tensions that shape us—traditional yet relevant, contemplative yet active, diverse yet united. What emerged was a longing for deeper spiritual connection, authentic belonging, and a renewed sense of purpose. The result is a bold new Vision and Mission for the future of St. John’s.
Our Vision

Our Vision names what we cherish, what we seek, and what we strive to offer:
- – A faith rooted in ancient tradition
- – A community of true belonging, where every person is truly known and valued
- – A way of life shaped by abundant grace
Our Mission
St. John’s nurtures a welcoming spiritual community, rooted in tradition yet relevant and responsive to our changing world. Grounded in the mystery of God’s love revealed through the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, we seek to put our faith into action, equipping each other to be ambassadors of God’s grace.
This mission grounds our vision in daily life. It calls us to practice faith with intention—through worship, relationships, and service in the world around us.
All Are Welcome
Whether you are new to faith, full of questions, or long grounded in your spiritual life, St. John’s is a place where you belong. We profess God’s love for every human being and welcome all people, regardless of age, race, income, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, or expression.
