St. John's Episcopal Church Youth

The children and youth ministry of St. John’s Episcopal Church exists to foster the joy of praying, serving and growing in faith with the children and youth of our church and their neighbors, developing a community of friends who serve Christ in Tallahassee and the world.

St. John's Youth is a group of teenagers, grades 6-12, and lay adult leaders who come together regularly for worship, outreach, discipleship and fellowship.

Sunday Mornings

Sunday School Classes for Middle School and HighSchool meet in their respective rooms on the lower level. Sunday School begins at 10:15 a.m. and runs until 11:00 a.m. Both the Middle School and High School classes study how the Gospel reading each Sunday are applicable to daily life.

Confirmation classes began in January and are open to 9th-12th grade students who are interested in learning more about their faith and desire to affirm the vows in their baptismal covenant. Classes meet on Sunday mornings in the Library from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Sunday Evenings

This Spring we meet twice a month as a large youth group community on Sunday evenings from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. One Sunday of the month will be service-based activities and one Sunday evening of the month will be fellowship-based. Each time we gather we will learn how our faith can be a part of our everyday life through play, worship, and service. Mark these dates on your calendar!

  • January 21: Cooking and Karaoke - Prepare food for the Angel Food Freezer and compete for the Karaoke Crown!

  • February 4: Super Bowl Party - Bring canned goods to donate to Second Harvest and watch the game (or the commercials!)
