Ongoing Weekly Activities:
Sunday Mornings
Sunday school groups for all ages meet between services, from 10:15 to 11:00 am.
Sixth Graders build skills for Christian living through the Live It curriculum, which presents real world problems in real life situations to tweens. Seventh and Eighth Graders participate in Rite-13, the first two years of the Journey to Adulthood program.
The rite is loosely based on the bar/bat mitzvah tradition and is a way for the entire congregation to celebrate the unique gifts and abilities of our
young people. Senior High Youth are part of our J2A group, learning and practicing basic
skills for adulthood, as well as different methods of Scripture reading, prayer and community-building.
Journey to Adulthood
This Christian formation program for youth aged 11-16 years was developed and supported by the Episcopal
Church and has been successfully used in churches across the country for over twenty years.
It is dynamic, interactive, engaging and fun, and creates within the parish a church family which walks
with our young people as they travel the difficult road from childhood to young adulthood.
Check out the Journey to Adulthood page for more info.
Wednesday Evenings
Wednesday night classes and dinner are for everyone!
Youth interns John Stonebraker and Jason Knott have exciting activities planned for our youth and Sonya Sowards will
lead Godly Play for kindergarten through 5th grade. See you there!
