Anam Cara: Coffee and Book Discussion

March 25, 2023 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

This Lenten season, you are invited to pick up a copy of John O’Donohue’s best-selling Anam Cara: A Book of Celtic Wisdom and join us for coffee and a book discussion. Weather permitting, we will gather in Eve’s Garden on Saturday, March 25 at 10 AM.

Copies of Anam Cara are available locally at Midtown Reader or order online from your favorite bookseller.

About the Book: “In this revered classic, beloved poet and philosopher John O’Donohue excavates themes of friendship, belonging, solitude, creativity, and the imagination, among many others. With lyrical wisdom and fluency, he encourages pathways of discovery to come home to the natural rhythm within us – in sacred connection with one another and the landscapes we inhabit. Anam Cara, Gaelic for “soul friend,” is a timeless collection that nourishes the heart and elevates the spirit. It is a book to read and reread forever.” (Irish Times)

If you missed our initial discussion about the Celtic term, Anam Cara (translation: Soul Friend), we invite you to view our Sunday Forum recording on YouTube.
