Join Fr. Dave Killeen for a special class, Healing the Heart of Democracy: The Courage to Create a Politics Worthy of the Human Spirit. Just in time for election season, we’re going to talk about the two things your mother told you never to talk about at the dinner table: politics and religion!
In a world divided by partisan rancor, we will explore five “habits of the heart” that can help us restore democracy’s foundations as we nurture them in ourselves and each other. This course is based on Parker Palmer’s book, Healing the Heart of Democracy, and will include plenary talks and small group discussions on Zoom.
This six-week class is part of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute’s (OLLI) fall lineup. The class begins on Tuesday, October 6, and is held weekly through Tuesday, November 10. Please contact Claire Dodd for a link to join.
