SALT Luncheon: Camp Gordon Johnston WWII Museum

March 14 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm

Florida was host to 172 military installations in WWII. The second largest was Camp Gordon Johnston, located in Carrabelle, Florida and opened in late 1942 to train troops and engineers in amphibious landings. The Camp Gordon Johnston WWII Museum’s mission is to research and preserve the history of the camp and the men and women who trained there. Lisa Keith- Lucas, historian and archivist at the museum, will share the history with us at our SALT Luncheon on March 14 at 11 AM.

The presentation will be followed by a Q & A., and lunch. While SALT stands for “Senior Adults Living Triumphantly,” ALL ages are welcome to join us.

Or contact Deborah Dugger in the church office for assistance. Please RSVP by March 11. A $9/person donation is appreciated to cover luncheon costs. Coffee will be served in Alfriend Hall beginning at 10:30 AM. Our program begins at 11 AM in Killeen Hall, and lunch follows the presentation.
