Service of Choral Evensong
October 8, 2023 @ 5:30 pm - 6:30 pm
One of the oldest in the Anglican tradition, Choral Evensong (sung Evening Prayer) combines the sung monastic offices of Vespers (at sunset) and Compline (before bedtime) and is drawn almost entirely from holy scripture.
Choral music in the service will include:
- William Smith: Preces and Responses
- Psalm 8
- Charles V. Stanford: Magnificat and Nunc dimittis in C
- Gail Randall: The Call
