The Philadelphia Eleven – a documentary screening at Holy Comforter

This year marks the 50th anniversary of the ordination of women in the Episcopal Church. The first of these, known as “The Philadelphia Eleven” are the eleven women who were the first women ordained as priests on July 29, 1974. To that end, a group of documentary filmmakers have made a film on the struggle these women faced. This film will be screened at Holy Comforter Episcopal Church on Friday 3/1 at 7 PM, both as both a Lenten offering, and in recognition of Women’s History Month. All are welcome.
