Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, St. John’s welcome you!  We hope you will visit us this Sunday or during the week.  After the Sunday service, look for our greeters at the exits of the church who can provide you with more information about St. John’s and answer any questions you may have.

Dave Killeen

Rector

Father Dave Killeen came to St. John's as Priest-in-Charge in August, 2010. He became Rector of St. John's in May 2011. Previously he served for three years as Associate Rector of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Jacksonville, where his primary focus was family, youth and children's ministries. He has also served as Interim Priest at St. Mary's in Tuxedo Park, NY. Father Dave is a 2004 graduate of General Seminary in New York City. He and his wife Carol are the proud parents of four sons: Daniel, Thomas, Michael and Paul.

Abi Moon

Associate Rector

Mtr. Abi Moon graduated from the University of the South School of Theology in Sewanee, Tennessee in May 2011. She serves as our priest associate for children, family and young adult ministries. Prior to seminary, Mtr. Moon worked as director of youth ministry at Church of the Good Shepherd in Augusta, Georgia and Church of the Advent in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She has also served as a teacher and assistant chaplain at Palmer Trinity School n Miami. Following her undergraduate years at Sewanee, she joined the Peace Corps and lived in Guinea, West Africa. She has led or participated in pilgrimages to Greece, Italy and the Holy Land. She and her husband, Rob, have been married four years and are enjoying Tallahassee.

Richard Effinger

Associate Rector

The Rev. Dr. Richard Effinger accepted the call as Associate Rector for Pastoral Care and Parish Life in February 2015. Before the priesthood Fr. Rick was a physician for more than 30 years in South Florida. He understands his call to ordained ministry as an expansion of his role as a healer. Following graduation from General Theological Seminary in New York City, Fr. Rick served at Bethesda-by-the-Sea in Palm Beach and St. Peter's Episcopal Church in Key West. He also has a passion for church music and has sung in choirs for many years. Other interests include reading, listening to music, gardening, and enjoying a home cooked meal with friends.
