Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, St. John’s welcome you!  We hope you will visit us this Sunday or during the week.  After the Sunday service, look for our greeters at the exits of the church who can provide you with more information about St. John’s and answer any questions you may have.

Dave Killeen


Father Dave Killeen came to St. John's as Priest-in-Charge in August, 2010. He became Rector of St. John's in May 2011. Previously he served for three years as Associate Rector of St. Mark's Episcopal Church in Jacksonville, where his primary focus was family, youth and children's ministries. He has also served as Interim Priest at St. Mary's in Tuxedo Park, NY. Father Dave is a 2004 graduate of General Seminary in New York City. He and his wife Carol are the proud parents of four sons: Daniel, Thomas, Michael and Paul.

Abi Moon

Associate Rector

Mtr. Abi Moon graduated from the University of the South School of Theology in Sewanee, Tennessee in May 2011. She serves as our Associate Rector for Christian Education and Outreach. Prior to seminary, Mtr. Moon worked as director of youth ministry at Church of the Good Shepherd in Augusta, Georgia and Church of the Advent in Spartanburg, South Carolina. She has also served as a teacher and assistant chaplain at Palmer Trinity School in Miami. Following her undergraduate years at Sewanee, she served as a volunteer in the Peace Corps and lived in Guinea, West Africa. She has led or participated in pilgrimages to Greece, Italy and the Holy Land. She and her husband, Rob, are delighted to be in ministry in Tallahassee.

Joe Bakker


Deacon Joe Bakker was ordained at St. John’s in January 2017. Prior to his ordination, he had served as a vestry member and was involved in Adult and Youth Sunday School education. Deacon Joe is involved with pastoral care and prison ministries. He also assists at Sunday services. He and his wife Cheryl have been active congregants at St. John’s for over thirty years. They have two grown children, Jovita and Geoffrey.



John Coleman

Sunday Assistant

Fr. John lives in Dothan, Alabama with his wife, Mary (who is a Tallahassee native), and their three children. A gifted preacher and teacher, Fr. John works as an executive at Coleman World Group during the week and assists local churches on Sundays. He and Fr. Dave became friends at the General Theological Seminary, where they were both students. He also will lead a Christian Parenting Class beginning in October.
