Coffee Talk: Quiet for Us and for Episcopal Monks

Each of us have a space within us called the “Sanctuary of the Heart.” This is a place where you are never alone, your private sanctuary within … sacred space or a place of refuge where you connect to God and a deeper part of yourself. When is the last time you found that safe space? Has the busy-ness of life closed these sanctuary doors? 

Did you know that there are Episcopal monks and nuns? This Sunday at Coffee Talk, learn about the Society of St. John the Evangelist and some ways they incorporate stillness and silence in their daily lives. Ed Babcock will shares the joys of integrating “quiet” into our lives. Additionally, Val Arsenault, a frequent guest of SSJE, will share how the Brothers cultivate quiet and silence in their Rule of Life, looking toward the Advent Quiet Day with Br. David Vryhof on December 4.
