In our last Vestry update, we shared details about several smaller campus-wide improvements that would wrap up our For All the Saints Capital Campaign construction. Soon after sharing that news, the Vestry learned that a new roof for Carter Chapel and the choir room is a higher priority project.
The Building Committee hoped to make minimal repairs to the roof and consider total replacement within 2-3 years. However, additional studies revealed significant concerns about the chapel roof. As a result, the Vestry rescinded approval of the smaller campus-wide projects in favor of replacing the entire roof of the chapel and the choir room; repairing the breezeway ceiling near the choir room; and repairing the wood rot on the chapel windows. These projects are all made possible by your generosity—thank you! Once the chapel/choir room roof is repaired, the Building Committee will continue to review and prioritize projects, including those previously approved by the Vestry.
