Calling all current Education for Ministry (EfM) students, alumni, and interested persons!
The first EfM Community Gathering will be held Saturday, January 17, from 10 AM to 1 PM in Killeen Hall. Community Gatherings are special times for an EfM seminar when we invite alumni and those interested in joining EfM to gather and reflect upon a book relating to the Path’s theme or other multi-media content. For this first Community Gathering, we will be watching three videos: The Open Narrative of Love/Lieven Boev, The Greater Part/David Brown and Danseuse/Ann Loades. These three videos are part of a series of six short documentary films profiling living theologians in the UK and Europe, entitled “At the Threshold,” produced by UNTAMED. The introduction to this series states: “In theology there is a home for both the vast and the intimate. No question is foreclosed. Visually immersive, poetic, and global in scale, these short films invite viewers into a conversation about life and its limits, which is as vibrant as it is challenging.”
Bring a bag lunch and join us for these lively discussions and see why EfM is Sewanee’s most outstanding program for Episcopal laity.
