Accepting Vestry Nominations

The St. John’s Vestry Nominating Committee is now accepting names for consideration in Vestry elections held in early 2022. Names are due by November 28, 2021.

Those who are nominated by others must have given consent. If you are interested in being considered as a nominee, or if you wish to suggest a name to the committee, please send written notification to Shelby Augustyniak, Nominations Committee Chair, at shelbyaugust@hotmail.com.

The St. John’s Vestry leads the parish in partnership with clergy. The Vestry governs in three primary capacities: fiduciary (budgets and buildings), strategic (long-range planning) and generative (providing wisdom, guidance and creative ideas for mission and ministries). Vestry members, who represent the congregation in every area of decision making, are elected at the annual parish meeting held in late January or early February and serve staggered three-year terms. The group meets monthly to discuss new business and vote on the business of the parish.
