Mark your calendar for Holy Week and Easter at St. John’s, when we can finally gather in a traditional format for the first time in three years! The schedule below includes notes about services that will be offered digitally as well as in person, and those that will feature incense as part of the liturgies.
See our online calendar for more information.
This Holy Week, St. John’s will welcome the Rev. John C. Coleman to preach the Triduum, another term for the three holy days before Easter (Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and the Easter Vigil). Fr. John is a gifted preacher and teacher who assisted our parish in 2017 and 2018, during our search for an associate rector. The Coleman family currently lives in Dothan, Alabama and John serves St. James Episcopal Church, in nearby Eufaula, Alabama.
This year, all Holy Week and Easter offerings will be held in person on the St. John’s campus, although a number of our services will also be live streamed. Festive receptions will once again follow the Easter Vigil and all morning offerings on Easter Day.
Please join us! Wherever you are on your spiritual journey, St. John’s welcomes you!
