Holy Week & Easter 2025

Enter the Journey of Holy Week

Holy Week is the sacred culmination of our Lenten journey—a time to walk with Jesus through his final days, from his triumphant entry into Jerusalem to the sorrow of the cross and the glory of resurrection. More than a remembrance, we step into the story itself, experiencing grace, love, and renewal. On Palm Sunday, we wave branches, joining the crowds that shout “Hosanna!” as Jesus enters the holy city. On Maundy Thursday, we kneel as Jesus washes our feet, commanding us to love one another as he has loved us. Good Friday leads us to the foot of the cross, where silence and sorrow deepen our longing for redemption. And then, in the darkness of the Easter Vigil, light bursts forth as we proclaim the resurrection, rejoicing in the victory of life over death.

Join us as we walk this path with Christ—praying, reflecting, and celebrating the triumph of life over death.

Many at St. John’s say that taking part in Holy Week has changed their lives. Easter means more when you’ve made the way of the cross with our Lord, walking beside him every step of the way. Set this week aside as we experience the full story of Jesus’ crucifixion and resurrection.

To help guide you through each of the services offered, we invite you to download our Guide to Holy Week. This guide outlines every step along the way to The Great Vigil of Easter.

The schedule below includes notes about services that will be offered digitally as well as in person, and those that will feature incense as part of the liturgies.
