St. Mary’s Circle Scholarship Recipients 2026

St. Mary’s Circle is proud to recognize Collins Barton and Rollins Miller as recipients of the 2026 Martha Lee Kuersteiner Scholarship.

Collins Barton embodies the qualities this scholarship seeks to encourage: faithfulness, leadership, service, and a deep heart for the Church. A 2025 graduate of Maclay School, Collins is now excelling at Louisiana State University in the Honors College, where she is pursuing a degree in Construction Management. At LSU, she remains deeply rooted in the Episcopal campus ministry through St. Alban’s Chapel, where she assist with worship and serves as a Student Vestry member and Campus Ministry Intern.

Throughout her years growing up at St. John’s, Collins faithfully served as an acolyte, volunteered through Youth BEAT Week, traveled to Quito with the mission team, and contributed to parish life in many meaningful ways. She consistently brought a joyful spirit to the St. John’s community, strengthening those around her through both leadership and quiet acts of care. One recommender noted that she not only participated in community life, but actively strengthened it. Collins says St. John’s gave her a strong spiritual foundation and continues to serve as her home base in faith.

Rollins Miller likewise reflects the ideals of service, stewardship, scholarship, and community that define the Martha Lee Kuersteiner Scholarship. A rising sophomore at Auburn University’s Honors College, Rollins is studying Finance and Accounting in the Harbert College of Business. He has earned Dean’s List recognition, received an Academic Presidential Scholarship, and been selected for membership in Auburn’s Financial Management Association. He also serves as Director of Academics for the Interfraternity Council.

A lifelong member of St. John’s, Rollins was deeply involved in parish life through the acolyte ministry, Youth BEAT Week, Camp Weed, Global Philanthropy Leaders, and faithful worship attendance. He graduated with honors in 2025 from Maclay School, captained the football team, and participated in Youth Leadership Tallahassee. Those who recommended Rollins spoke not only of his accomplishments, but of his kindness, humility, and the joy he brings to others. Rollins’ faith and gratitude for the support of family, church, and community remain central to the way he leads and serves.

Both Collins and Rollins represent the very best of St. John’s Episcopal Church and the values this scholarship was created to celebrate. St. Mary’s Circle is proud to support them with this year’s scholarship awards and they look forward to all these two young people will continue to accomplish in the years ahead.

The Martha Lee Kuersteiner Scholarship is awarded annually to students pursuing an undergraduate degree who have completed at least one semester of college and have at least one semester remaining in their collegiate career. Recipients are recognized for their active participation in the life of St. John’s Episcopal Church, exemplary community involvement during both high school and college, and strong academic achievement.

Next year’s scholarship application window will open in early 2027. Stay tuned for details.
